How IHGIZ Solutions FZ-LLC collects, uses and protects personal data on this website.

Last updated:

This document is written to UAE federal law and to the regulations that apply to us as a Dubai Development Authority licensee. It is under review by counsel; an Arabic version is in preparation. For anything urgent, write to us. solutions@ihgiz.com

01Who we are

This website (ihgiz.solutions) is operated by IHGIZ Solutions FZ-LLC, a free-zone company licensed by the Dubai Development Authority under licence number 107946, with its registered address at IHGIZ Solutions FZ-LLC, HD27A, First Floor, In5 Tech, Dubai Internet City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

For the purposes of data protection law we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy — that is, we decide why and how it is processed. Questions, requests and complaints about this policy go to solutions@ihgiz.com.

02The law we work under

As a company licensed by the Dubai Development Authority, we are subject to the federal data protection regime of the United Arab Emirates: Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, together with its implementing regulations as issued from time to time, supervised by the UAE Data Office.

Where you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation may also apply to our processing of your data. The rights set out below are written to meet both regimes, and we will honour them wherever you are.

03What we collect

This is a corporate website, not the IHGIZ product. It has no user accounts and no booking function, so the data it handles is limited.

  • Information you send us. When you use the contact form or write to one of our addresses: your name, email address, organisation if you give one, the subject you select, and whatever you choose to put in your message.
  • Access requests. If you enter a code to reach a gated area, we store a cookie recording that you did. We do not store the code itself, and there is no account behind it.
  • Technical and usage data. Standard information your browser sends — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view — together with analytics events described under Cookies below.
  • We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric or religious data) through this website, and ask that you do not send them to us through it.

04Why we use it, and on what basis

We process personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so under the PDPL, and we do not sell it to anyone.

  • To answer you. When you contact us we use your details to reply and to follow up on the enquiry. Basis: performance of, or steps toward, a contract at your request, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
  • To operate and secure the site. Keeping it available, diagnosing faults, and preventing abuse of the contact form. Basis: our legitimate interests.
  • To understand how the site is used. Aggregate analytics about which pages are read, so we can improve them. Basis: your consent, which you can give or withhold and can change at any time.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including those of our licensing authority. Basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

05Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies. Those that are strictly necessary — remembering your language, your light or dark theme preference, and whether you have entered a valid access code — are set because the site cannot work as intended without them.

Analytics cookies are different: they are set only if you accept them. Until you do, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is written. You can change your mind at any time from the link in the footer, and declining costs you nothing on this site.

Where analytics are enabled, we use Google Analytics to produce aggregate reports about site usage. This involves Google processing data on our behalf, including outside the UAE.

06Who else sees it

We share personal data only where we need to, and only with parties bound to protect it.

  • Service providers who help us run the site and receive enquiries — hosting, email delivery, and analytics where you have accepted it — acting on our instructions.
  • Other companies in the IHGIZ family, where your enquiry concerns one of them and only so it reaches the people who can answer it.
  • Professional advisers, and public authorities or regulators where we are legally required to disclose.
  • We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

07Transfers outside the UAE

Some of the providers described above are located outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we do so on the bases the PDPL permits: to a jurisdiction recognised as providing an adequate level of protection, under contractual safeguards obliging the recipient to protect the data to the standard the PDPL requires, or with your explicit consent.

08How long we keep it

Enquiries and the correspondence arising from them are kept for as long as the relationship is live and for up to three years afterwards, so that we can pick up a conversation and meet our record-keeping obligations. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form. Access cookies expire on their own and can be cleared at any time from your browser.

When data is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.

09How we protect it

The site is served over encrypted connections. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to answer you, and gated areas of this site are protected by codes issued individually and revocable at any time.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that is likely to prejudice your privacy or the confidentiality of your data, we will notify the UAE Data Office and, where the law requires it, you.

10Your rights

Under the PDPL — and, where it applies to you, the GDPR — you have rights over your personal data. You can exercise any of them by writing to us; we will not charge you, and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows.

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and information about how it is processed.
  • Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete data where there is no continuing lawful reason for us to hold it.
  • Ask us to restrict or stop processing, including stopping direct marketing at any time.
  • Ask to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable form, or have it transmitted to another controller.
  • Withdraw consent you have given — for analytics, for instance — without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
  • Object to processing we carry out on the basis of our legitimate interests.
  • Complain to the UAE Data Office if you believe we have not handled your data properly. We would rather you came to us first, but that right is yours regardless.

11Children

This site is aimed at businesses and professional audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 through it. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change or the law requires it. The date at the top records the last substantive revision. Material changes will be signalled on this page rather than made quietly.
